I am in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the moment. Days are cold, nights are cold and long. Sunset at 4:30pm. But really embracing this opportunity. Yes I miss the Cape Town weather, braai, movies (movies here R90), cricket, family and close friends.

However I am taking this opportunity to learn how to cook, admire the different types of cultures, people and lifestyle here. The moral conflicting standards and government priorities. The beautiful architecture and lovely fruit & veg.

Did you know: Marijuana (Dagga) is illegal in Amsterdam? Government just feels the need to spend more time and money on the hard drugs and crime in the city. Seems to be working.
